i dont think they will this time, especially when the main attraction (NOFX) looks like they are pulling out of it, and quite rightly so. it dosent actually say its them, but the hints are strong. they will be well pissed off by this move, but pulling out of something they`ve been booked for a year for will piss the fans off aswell. but im sure most will understand, i say revolt against it and dont go. but they didnt give us a scottish date this year anyway so fuck them all, right in the ear.

i just think punk gigs suck ass when they're too big, i've hated every show i've seen in places like the barrowlands, even the garage in glasgow sucks.
so a punk gig in a big field is even less appealing no matter who was playing. (though i'd probably force myself if the line up was bane, in my eyes, ten yard fight, champion, reach the sky, floorpunch, nerve agents, strike anywhere, good clean fun... sorry drifting off into fantasy land there)
i was warmed inside when hot water music pulled out of the epitaph tour cuz the venues were too big.
too many bands are in it for the money, i remember the days when bands would play glasgow, edinburgh, aberdeen and sometimes another scottish show when they toured now it just gets amalgamated into one large show and that's it. maximum profit from minimum effort. and then the shows get bigger because instead of touring individually and getting local support acts they do shit like deconstruction which is all bigger name bands that denies support and exposure to smaller bands and centralises to a single festival, meaning the fans have to put even more money into not only getting in but getting there, food, and merchandise (which goes up dramatically in direct proportion with the size of the venue and the amount the band produces. where if they were truly punk, as bands got bigger merchandise should cost less as it's cheaper to produce in larger quantities)
i just hate the whole fucking lot of it.
