Your right, the aim of Live 8 is to raise awareness of the Make Poverty History Campaign. The more support they get, especially through events such as this (through both the vast size of the event as well as the amazing celebrity support and the masses of publicity the event will attract), then the more pressure that is being put on Governments to take the situation more seriously and at least think about taking some sort action!

The tickets are being given out on a text lottery system similar to the one that is running for the london, paris etc gig.

Details for Edinburgh ticket lottery as to be announced towards the end of the week.

Would be good to go along, good atmosphere I reckon and it's all to raise awareness of a good cause!
