I get to talk about anything?? Comic Relief
So I get to talk about anything????
Here goes. As some of you may or may not know I am indeed a well travelled man. I'm a fairly sensitive fucker too, so, I would just like to point out how lucky we really ALL are. I was born in a country where poverty and famine are the biggest killers of all. I have watched my home go to shit and I have heard that every person from my street has been driven out of their homes to make way for terrorists. Not once have I been able to comprehend the fact that never again will I see my home town nor will I ever be able to help any of the troops from my town. Rhodesia was one of the most beautiful countries in the world to live, so vibrant and full of energy. Now it is a country in tatters where children are killed for money and drugs. I watched a documentary once about rhodesia and finally understood why my mother drove round the streets with a gun under her seat. I was lucky enough to make it out and head back to this country. I was always angry that I'd had a bum deal coming back here but to be perfectly honest I have to feel pretty good about my home now. All I want to ask each and every one of you is that you sit back just think about it for a second. You are lucky no matter how shit things are. You don't have to walk the streets for food or live under the constant threat of murder. Give what you can, even phone with a donation of a pound which you really have to believe WILL make a difference. Comic Relief does make a difference even at home and YOU can make a difference. Love Duncan |
