Buying vinyl in Dundee

Is there anywhere in Dundee where i can pick up new release 7" vinyl?

I usually mange to pick up some in HMV but that new Virgin store has stopped doing any vinyl at all.

speaking of Virgin actually does anyone else feel like they dont have half the stuff the old one had?

is virgin now where HMV used to be? ive not been in dundee in a while

i know its probably no help at all, but gold rush in perth usually do records, could always just get them off the net, i dont think i know anywhere in dundee that has a decent LP section, and grouchos are just second hand so, well, sorry for being useless

We (virgin) should be getting vinyl back in soon, it's been brought up with the central warehouse. I don't know for certain when that'll be however, even though i'm "in charge" of the singles department!

The shop is smaller, and probably has slightly less stock, but then i'd imagine we've got rid of most of the pish that had been sat there for 5 or 10 years and no-one wanted.

Ah iv heard about Goldrush in Perth but never been.Might have to take a visit.

I asked one of the guys in Virgin at lunch time if they had any vinyl and he just said they werent getting any in cause they dont have space for it.
HMV had a couple of new releases but none i was after.I could usually find what i was after in the old Virgin.

I spoke to the assistant manager yesterday and was told we'd be getting vinyl back in, but will see what happens.

As much as i love Goldrush, i wouldn't say the selection of new vinyl was particularly amazing.

Dundee is absolute shite for vinyl, especially new releases. You'd be better getting it online.

the tunnells in aberdeen has one of the biggest collections of vinyl around
the cavern and one up have selections of good stuff

i picked myself a lovely copy of vader by kling klang for 5 bux

is it just me or.... is mr groucho being a complete knob trying to get £5.99 for a battered old vinyl when his CD's seem to be falling to about £4.99..

theres always a decent record in there somewhere, but who's going to pay nearly the top new price for second hand records?

just coz its vinyl doesnt mean it rare
