itt band members pretend their own band is their favourite unsigned band

I want to have some good bands to check out. I want to travel with what is left of my summer but I wanna see some good local bands. If anyone knows of some send a reply.
I'll go first....If anyone comes up to Knoxville or Atlana area around the begining of August you can check out my favorite local band Dixie Dirt. They are a four piece band and have alot of talent. Their website is www.dixiedirtmusic.com. You can hear some stuff on that but the media player has been messed up lately so you can also download their songs on thier myspace page. The song apetite is the best. Now....let me know your favorite local/unsigned bands....

have you noticed this site is .co.uk? a vast majority(almost all) of users are from the uk and don't get to see much of the us.

Yeah, and the vast majority of that vast majority are from Scotland. The vast majority of thoses are based in Dundee.

Not that there's anything exclusive about UGS. It would seem that things just worked out that way.

Hey - would somebody mind telling me why things worked out that way? How come UGS is so localised?

well us Glasgow folk have Alternative Nation that we claimed as our own, and you all have UGS......

oh and my favourite local bands are The Alpacinos, Red Pill Memories, Lifeblind, Kicking Buckets and One Man Race.

ugs is based in dundee so word about the site seems to spread around the dundee area. it'd be great to see bands from all over uk using it, but every city seems to have their own forums for the local scene, and they stick to that, don't blame em. no place like home.

Bar none I would have to say the Chucky Danger Band. They are a canadian act though, so you might miss out!

My fave Unsigned local band would have to be Scar my eyes - An awsome local metal band - www.scarmyeyes.com - they put on a powerful show and all their songs are well thought out and the instruments really gel together well. If they are ever in your area you should check them out

A Rebels Guide and Templeball are two of the mightiest bands in the Glasgow 'scene'. If you like your metal heavy and your panties soiled then check them both out at www.hell-planetproductions/forum

Dont forget to check out Spacejunk too. Would be only slightly blowing my own trumpet if I said we were the best......
