Hi there, just wanted to conduct a short poll, so please take just a little bit of time to check a box.
Basically, I am looking to eventually get 100 replies from forum users across a few boards. This would help my uni work alot. I just want to know what your opinions are on music effecting emotion in relation to images. If there is a sad image with music of a slower tempo, does it effect you more than the same image with something out of place and upbeat? Usually, I would say that yes, it does effect the way you look at things, but I need a little more research evidence. Cheers for any replies. |

Is the movie out now? I voted yes, but it really depends on the type of music. Some slow tempo tracks evoke warm emotion rather than just sadness.

hahaha! he means the 1986 cartoon.
I think that sad music with a funny picture/image is out of place. In the same way, benny hill music beside a picture of a funeral or someone dying in a third world country is out of place! |

could the fact that the still image is over faster music as opposed to slower not represent somthing in certain cases though ? like anger towards a significantly stationary err... lump of cheese?

i would have to say yes as music does play alot on your emotions but then it all depends what it is you are viewing of course and what style of music is going on, For instance it might be a really sad moment in the film or animation or what not but you dont feel sad, you might feel anger or relief. It all just depends on the timing on everything joining together and how they are reacting againist each other to make you feel the way you do. I hope that that makes sense. i do go off on tangets
