Dead & Gone Records News – June

Self Destruct ‘This Is Not Your World’ 7” – OUT NOW!

We’re happy to announce the release of Self Destruct’s debut ‘This Is Not Your World’. Self Destruct play fast, straight up, punk music. No mosh parts, no sing-along parts, no fuss.
Taking their influences from all types of 70's and 80's punk and hardcore bands ranging from Negative Approach and Government Issue to The Clash and The Damned you get an idea of what they are aiming for : music pissed off with society, their governments, their peers and the world in general.

These 4 tracks are a recorded mission statement of what’s to come from this Leeds band - ‘Self Destruct’, ‘Black Sheep’, ‘Open Your Eyes’ and ‘Not Your World’ all step the game from the ‘Lost Boys’ demo.

The 7” is ready for order now @ Dead And Gone Records 2006. Check the mp3 for the track ‘Self Destruct’ at our myspace www.myspace.com/deadandgonerecs

The only limited version of this first press will be available at the record release show in Sheffield on July 12th. Here’s the flyer.

14/4 – Youth Centre, Guildford w/ Clorox Girls

Deal With It ‘World Coming Down’ CD

Finally Deal With It's debut is out on CD - the 7" has gone down a storm and this is now your chance to pick this up digitally. The CD contains the 5 tracks from the 7" + the re-mastered demo (thanks Atko!).

In an age where straight edge is all but done with, when it's more important to be vapid and ironic than to have an opinion on something, when a person is judged by their choice of trainer instead of what they're ready to commit, Deal With It arrived on the scene to bring back some integrity.

Outspoken and energetic, they combine the best elements of Breakdown, No Warning, Cro Mags and Leeway. Musically hard as a bag of hammers, and lyrically world weary and full of rage, Deal With It are a hardcore band in the truest sense of the word, and are a force to be reckoned with. In other DING news – the split with the Down & Outs has nearly sold out so grab one on this tour. The 7” format of ‘Undercurrents’ is also very close to being gone. The band are heading to the US this September look out for dates soon.

other news :

In a snapshot….

the Down & Outs have started to record the as yet untitled follow up to ‘Boys From The Blackstuff’. It will be 14 tracks and it will be incredible and worth the wait. We’re also planning a second D&O release which will be a CD compliation of all the 7”s, splits and live footage that’s been collated over the last 2 years.
Dirty Money are getting amped up to record their debut 7”/CD – if you’ve heard the new tracks live then you know that this will be good. Get ready for something in September
SSS are getting ready to tour Europe once more and we have shedded the price of the CD/LP due to the imminent re-release on Earache. You never know this might be worth something one day so get a copy snapped up. Also the ‘Burton’ 7” is down to its last 30 copies
Finally – to celebate many things THE LAST CHANCE (scab chance) will be playing a few songs in Sheffield on June 23rd with Dirty Money, Deal With It, Rot In Hell, Fastpoint and DinG. more info at www.myspace.com/thelastchancexxx
