Neither Gram Parsons (a former member of the Byrds) nor Big Star (one of their songs is the title theme to That 70's Show) are obscure, unless the person who thinks they are gets all their musical 'knowledge' from the CD player at the Balcony Bar and back issues of Kerrang!!

I agree 100% with Alex on every post in this thread. And in my opinion every forum needs abbrasive people to generate traffic. Every thread he takes part in gets at least double the views it would get without him. And finally like it or not it least the article is there. We could be in the same old position of a media vacuum around Dundee bands. |

I sort of assumed everyone had at least one Gram Parsons record somewhere. Even if they don't realise it and it's in the loft somewhere. He's influenced so much music it'd be daft not to.

The Hazy Janes were born to do a cover of Older Guys by the Flying Burrito Brothers. In fact, let's band together to make a compilation album of local acts covering Gram Parsons songs. We'll call it "Cosmic Dundonian Music"
Make it so. |
