Glasgow council - moving the goths from city centre
Scotland on Sunday - Scotland - Goma goths banned - heaven knows they're miserable now
Yep, whenever I'm in Glasgow I steer around GOMA and head straight for the groups of people in football shirts to feel safe. |

Mad, I'm not in town much on Saturdays but it seemed over the past two years or so the goths had all but vacated the place. Would rather have them there than the crooks in the city hall, mind you.

I think we'll be seeing more of this type of thing coming from the Glasgow City Council in the run up to the Commonwealth Games. Are the Goths really that troublesome?

This seems like another generic "youth of today" thing. ZOMGWTFBBQ the kids are all in the city centre, dressing strangely and therefore out to cause trouble. I very much doubt that there would be ANY issue if they wore "nice" clothes like their gran will get them for xmas. It seems like the sort of the moronic thing you'd expect to hear in the Reader Writes section of a community newsletter.
This interests me: "WITH their black clothes, white faces and mournful expressions they have become an instantly recognisable part of life in Scotland's city centres." ...instantly recognisable part of life in Scotland... |

haha,
Glasgow Can't control their teen neds, so they've moved onto the Goths Instead! I still find it mad that goths, metalheads and punks who Listen to "evil, hateful and loud MEETAAL" are amongst the most timid people you'll ever meet. If the goths stay away because there's a couple security guards there telling them to leave then they deserve to be shoo'd away! |

I never noticed it to be honest. It was all the wee 14 year olds wearing hotpants and heels i wouldn't be caught dead in heading to the SubClub et al at 6pm on a Saturday that annoyed me!
Royal Exchange Sq is full of all sorts! You've got Karbon and B-Lo around the corner for one thing! It's only during the day they congregate outside the Social and Borders really... Poor wee guys. |
