Gutterbreaks (drum 'n' bass)

This is my mate's drum and bass outfit. Pretty refreshing to hear some good beats coming out of Scotland!

FYI, people who just happen to have discovered a new band, don't sign up on random internet sites to promote them, out of the goodness of their hearts.

Why not just say that you're in the band, or the band are one of your mates, rather than insulting peoples' intelligence?

Sorry, I didn't mean to be such a dick about it. I was really tired, and it's just one of my pet hates.

Yeah, I understand. It isn't often that I do promotion for things so i'm learning fast what works and what doesn't.

Apologies to anyone who was annoyed by the posting.

What do you think of the music, incidentally?

I quite liked it too.

That doesn't mean anything though as I generally don't buy music too much anymore so if you are curious as to how a cd or whatever would sell then I probably wouldn't buy it.

I really resisted replying to this but I honestly can't anymore. Where did you get the impression that this post was about buying any of Gutter Break's music or evaluating if there was a need for that?

He hasn't got any albums or avenues to purchase his music available. All I posted was a thread about my friend and his music, which I love and wanted people to know about. Even though I botched it a little by being insincere and amateurish in my approach, I am sincere about wanting to help a friend out.

I think you could have left your reply as "I quite liked it too". There was no need to add that you wouldn't buy his music, as that was not the intention of this post and, to be honest, I found it to be quite rude.

I've read through your reply a few times and I don't think I’m misunderstanding it, but if I am, please correct me and I’ll happily retract everything I’ve said and apologise. I’d just like some clarification please.

To be honest, I think he's offering to tell you that he wouldn't buy the stuff in order to help you if you were curious about that sort of thing.

Certainly I didn't read any malice in it, but I can't put words into other people's mouths.

Personally I like it

Aye, Scruffy is right.

All I was saying was that if the original intention was to weigh up how sensible it would be to sell stuff then you have to bear in mind that I like it doesn't equate to a sale, or whatever.

I have no idea what the original intention was as you firstly came across like a street teamer, so your obviously promoting the music. If it not about money then what I said doesn't really matter.
