Thumbs up What the Font?!?!

This one is probably gonna be aimed more at the designers out there:

Ever get a client come to you with a piece of text, or an image and say " i want a poster / flyer / brochure/ other with this font used as the header font!"

You say " Sure, no problem. What's the font?"

Client " I dunno, your the designer!"

You then have to go through your million fonts and if your lucky you'll find it or something bloody close!

Well, I just found this on the MyFonts website and it's a bloody godsend.

It's a service where you can scan in a piece of text containing the font you need and the website will search it's database and tell you what the font is!! I've tried it 3 times now with some wierd fonts and it's worked every time.

if it can't find it then you just submit it to the WTF? forums and some font geeks will find the font name for you.

Worth it's weight in gold!!

That is a pretty nifty system. I will keep it in mind when hunting out a font for a client who likes this lovely font... but does not have any idea what its called or have the font file stored anywhere.

Thanks for finding this one Col!
