One of my greatest pleasures in life was cleaning out my old ball mouse with a pin when it got clogged with dust and stuff. Satisfaction.

Does anyone use ball mice anymore? I got my first optical mouse about six years ago, and never went back.

When I bought an optical mouse to use at work, I was alarmed to find the IT staff coming and asking me what it was and why it had a light on it. I think they thought I had just invented it; not a very reassuring experience, really.

not used a roller mouse in years. nor a mousemat.

at one of the cafe's at uni they have optical mice with bad mousemats which have large patches of white, so the mat actually makes the mouse not work.
