UGS Wiki feedback thread

There will no doubt be some issues with the wiki now that it has been launched so please post your feedback in here so that i can get to work and iron out any problems that may arise.

We'll also take questions on editing and trouble shooting but there are help pages on the wiki that you can use to find out how to do the basics. Plus a comprehensive guide to editing is available.

Existing members should note that if your username has spaces or special characters in it then you probably wont be able to log into the wiki unless you register a new account or request that your existing username be changed to one without spaces and special characters.

It's a great idea and I'm sure it'll be very useful, nice work

Had a go in the sandbox, but my sandcastles fell down. The HTML code wouldn't go away for me

you dont use html code when adding content. Just type it in normally and then format it. The Wiki has its own formatting tags.

it's a steep learning curve but the help pages will guide you through it no problem

Cheers mate. Like i said don't worry about formating and stuff, as long as the text is there the mod team can come along and make the necessary style changes if necessary

If you want to see how things are done you can look at an existing page and click 'view source' from the top menu tabs and you'll see the code for that page.

When looking at the venues directory it is:

venue with no details(link to add entry)
venue with no details (link to add entry)
named venue (link to venues homepage)

Id thought it would be better as:

venue with no details(link to add entry)
venue with no details (link to add entry)
named venue (link entry)

named venue entry
details etc, link to website

I'll change balcony and see what you think?
