Wrestling Observer - The initial diagnosis for John Cena had him out past WrestleMania, however according to his rehab reports; he is working like a demon trying to speed up his return date. Cena has a strong mind-muscle link from his years in bodybuilding which gives him a strong advantage for a faster and more effective recovery.

While nobody is expecting it is a given he will return by WrestleMania Stephanie McMahon and Brian Gewirtz are holding hope that he will be there at the show. If he does make it, it’s likely his first match back would be against Randy Orton, since he was credited in the storyline for Cena’s injury.

If Cena is not ready it is still likely he could show up at the event either advertised or as a surprise and play a hand in costing Orton the title. This would then lead to a Cena/Orton program immediately following WrestleMania.

At last night's Smackdown house show in Albany, NY there was an incident between a fan and Batista that led to the fan being ejected from the venue.

WWE Diva Maria just did a photo shoot for Playboy.

The upcoming issue of Hustler magazine (March 2008) has a two page spread of nude photos of the late Nancy Benoit. Apparently these images are from when she was married to Jim Daus. Apparently she was touring doing bikini and wet t-shirt competitions in Florida when one of the hosts told her she should be in Penthouse. He set up a photo shoot for her and then videotaped the photo shoot. Nancy never submitted the photos and later had them destroyed but either never knew about or got the video which is now in the possession of Hustler.

It is the March 08 issue of Hustler magazine with a headline on the cover. I have a subscription so I got my issue in advance. I don't think it is on the newsstands yet as I live in LA and I haven't seen it there yet. Actually if you can get a hold of the Feb 2008 issue, there is an ad for it in the "Coming Next Month" section

- "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has legally changed his name to Steve Austin.

- While in Iraq to tape the Tribute to the Troops special, a chopper carrying Dean Malenko, Mickie James, Carlito, Chris Jericho, JBL and Ron Simmons got damaged in a landing and all six were stranded for five hours in a war zone in Tarmiyah, Iraq. The six were stranded in an unsecure location in the middle of fires, smoke bombs, dead animals and razor wire everywhere.

- Ric Flair has agreed to a contract that will run through the end of 2010, a few weeks ago, but at last word, he had yet to sign it. Flair's current contract expires on 1/8.

- Ashley Massaro posted a new picture of herself on her MySpace page. She has a new look. Massaro has cut her hair and taken out her lip rings. She has moved to Austin again.

I dont know if each one should be a seperate thread as some are quite short stories and dont require much discussion.

Of course, for the main stories, starting a thread would be vital to discussion really.

Just wing it I think is the best thing but a divas thread will be something to do.

After months of fighting and $600,000 later, the family of Chris Benoit and that of Nancy have finally reached an agreement on the estate left by the former World Heavyweight champion. Michael Benoit - father of Chris - said that the two parties agreed to split everything in half, with one half going to the two kids of Chris from a previous marriage and the other half going to Nancy's family. Although it's only a verbal agreement, Benoit said that everything is ready and all that's left are signatures on papers. The two parties have been fighting for months on who will get control of the estate which includes bank accounts, properties and other items. A few weeks ago Michael Benoit approached WWE to pay up $2 million to the two kids to avoid legal action, which WWE totally refused.

WWE are right to refuse. Benoit was only in WWE for 7 years of what was a 30 year career. The damage was started long before he came into WWE.

According to well placed source in WWE there was a backstage incident that occurred while WWE was over in Iraq. The incident involved Umaga, Randy Orton, and Shawn Michaels. Apparently the seamstress told Umaga that he could not use the colors that he wanted for his tights because they were the colors that Triple H uses. However, Umaga insisted that the seamstress fulfill his request.

The seamstress complied and when Umaga went through the curtain in the tights, Shawn Michaels completely flipped out. WWE Champion Randy Orton was said to be the only person that stood up for the Samoan Bulldozer and fired back at Shawn.

It has been incidents like this that have completely altered Randy Orton’s reputation backstage. The feeling is that he is now a leader and is one of the few superstars that does not take crap off of Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
