Did Edge fight on Raw?

Doubt it's picking up, can see this going round in circles. What do you predict?

I thought RAW was really good last night! This moment certainly helped. Marked out like a little bitch when CM Punk got Edge up for the GTS.

I dont know where they are gonna go but at least it is interesting. They will probably give the belt to Batista soon but ya never know. With Summerslam coming up dead soon, you usually have your biggest names wrestling i nthe main events and I aint positive that Punk is held in that much esteem with the higher ups in the WWE.

Whatever though. I think it was a great moment and even if it does not last that long it was still something to get excited about. It was something I didnt expect to happen the way it did. I thought he would cash in and lose it or lose the MITB altogether.

I read reports on RAW last night from some dudes on forums and they said it was boring last night. I thought RAW was excellent having watched it. Some people are just never satisfied. I even think they would get pissy if next week Rock and Stone Cold both came out, cut a classic promo and then went on to have a half hour epic. Always something to complain about.

Watch the internet turn on Punk now. It always happens.

the internet was supposed to turn on Punk when he signed for WWE, then when he won ECW title...

It certainly adds a new dimension to the title scene, Punk Vs Cena? can you imagine what the fans would do for that?!

and Edge was only on RAW to run down JR's leaving speech, and Batista ended up attacking him leading to Punk getting the win.

I think Smackdown is gunna be an exciting brand, Raw has a lot of stuff that could be very interesting (Check out Prototype Vs Leviathan from OVW)

It certainly is interesting. First time in a while as well.

Looks as if they are gonna be pushing some of the newer guys as well which is what we as fans needed. Getting HHH or RAW on to Smackdown was the best thing to happen in ages.

Haha, I wonder if the WWE would have the balls to have Punk job to Cena, I genuinely think there would have been riots if RVD jobbed to him.
I think they've done exactly what they did with Batistsa, Lesnar and Orton (to a lesser extent) and pushed them too far too quick.
Now Punk is trapped in the upper crust of the WWE, he'll be forced to feud with the same people over and over again and won't get a chance to really show off his wrestling skills with the people who lie on the undercard (notoriously).

I think a better idea would have been to keep with in ECW to heighten the popularity of the brand, keep him a face and have him take a heel turn somewhere down the line.
Also for that matter they should have moved the majority of the cruiserweights to ECW, it's bad enough they don't have hardcore matches, at least they could give us back our fast paced matches instead of these punch and kick fests we are relegated to.

Having been a fan of Punk for years now, and comparing the matches he had in ROH, IWA; MS, MLW and the plethora of other independent promotions he frequented to the ones he is subjected to now, I'm pretty pissed off.

It's a sad state of affairs but it's nothing at all new, the WWE staff have no idea how to use the talent they have.

his ROH speech where he signed the WWE contract on the ROH belt was awesome.

IF they let Cena go free on the mic, he could light it up against Punk.

Punk in WWE has been dissapointing but it aint really his fault. WWE seem to have a problem with letting guys have more than 5 moves.

I am glad however to see him get the title. However short it will probably be.

Who do we see for the belt at GAB?

I think it will be a four way or something since so many guys will be after the title. Many have reason.

Batsita - Screwed by Edge. Wants the gold.

JBL - Harps on for ages wanting it. Made interest in the belt clear to Punk Monday night.

Cena - Just been beaten by HHH and pissed that he never actually lost the belt in the first place.

I can maybe see Punk sneaking through that particular match but then again it is all about SummerSlam and it will be a one on one affair for that match at one of your big PPVs and I as I stated previously, I dont feel WWE has Punk in that regard. I am all set to shocked if they do but I dont see it.

It will be Cena vs JBL stipulation or Batista vs Cena for it at SummerSlam but then they could easily save that for Mania. Perhaps a multi person match in some sorta stip.

The only match I'm remotely looking forward to seeing out of this CM Punk title run is Punk - Jericho. If Jericho can pull some of his old tricks out the bag I think the two could have a stellar match deserving of a main event.
Back in the day Jericho could put together some amazing matches, with an array of big spots (check out one of his many matches with Ultimo Dragon in Japan, some of the best matches I've seen as far as pace and good psychology goes) and Punk's not unknown for that either.

The likelihood if this actually happening is pretty minimal though, they'll probably give him a feud with Kane and have him drop the belt to Cena.

I still think the best course of action with Punk would have been to keep him in ECW and have him feud for the next 6 months or so with Morrison or Noble (also moving him to ECW too) over the title in an this-is-actually-ROH-but-it's-got-a-WWE-trademark-in-the-corner series of matches with lots of technical skill and interesting outcomes or Elijah Burke. Then have him turn on someone like Kofi Kingston and go on a massive heel turn before winning the IC belt or something...then maybe forming a tag team with Noble or Burke which would raise the profile of the other wrestler and then do what they did with Jericho and kind of ease him into the top tier over the course of a year or so.

Not, have him win the MITB Wrestlemania, do nothing about it for months and months and then out of the blue defeat the companies top heel on Raw with no prelude what so ever.

Punk won MITB because of Jeff's issues.

They didnt mean to put the belt on him, it was post-draft to even out the titles.

Punk wont be champion by Summerslam.
