Summerslam 08 Run up...

So Far, so good.
Been a long time since i've followed wrestling and what a time to have come back to it. Taker/Edge Hell in a Cell Match..oofft! If the HHH and Great Khali match go's ahead as planned it'll be an interesting one.

What are you looking forward to yourself?

Not Khali vs HHH anyway!!!

I aint looking forward to that one at all...HHH is shite now and Khali cant wrestle.

Edge and Taker in the Cell could be good. I hope it is anyways. Both guys are total pros so should deliver.

HBK vs Jericho if it happens will be guarenteed quality. Although the retina story would sound so stupid if he just comes back so soon. Wait and see.

Cena vs Batista will be good because of the heat it will get but not expecting a classic. Then again there is always that chance with fan favourites.

SummerSlam has looked better in the past but I am sure it will be a good show.

I don't know what it is, but i feel like we're about to see the Old Jericho back.
He plays such a bland heel in my opinion, Dragging on about his past being so shit.

I also think it was a bad idea to announce the fact we're going to see an HBK promo on next weeks Raw. I'd love to know the idea behind that. We even had an image of him standing there with a steaky looking bandage over his eye and looking all pissed off. I sure as hell know, if i had an agenda with Jericho the last thing i'd be worried about is a promo picture. I know it's Kayfabe and all but that just made it look that little bit too scripted.

anyways, summerslam. We have a few more matches yet to be announced, im sure so lets see whats made of it.

Matt Hardy Vs Mark Henry will stink the joint up
HHH Vs Khali will be one of the worst title matches ever
HBK Vs Jericho will be brilliant if they have a decent finish
Batista Vs Kane will be bland (i refuse to believe they will put Cena in here, unless its going to be the remasking of Kane in which it would make this possibly a Batista Vs Cena Vs Punk title three way, keeping the belt on Punk)

Summerslam will probably be a very tame PPV unless they pull out some classic finishes.

Jericho as a heel is far better than as a face, but Adamle as GM? i see Raw going downhill with that, its so WCW id be shocked to find Bischoff didnt pitch it himself.

I am not looking forward to THE Summerslam, or THE Mike Adamle being The General Manager of THE Raw.
I don't know if he will be able to handle not being around THE Tazz or commentating THE Michael Mike THE Mizz Mizzard. Fucking tube.

Edge - Taker; has a good psychology around it, but I don't think either men are eager to take any considerable bumps. So I'll guess we should be content with a chairshot here and there, and a tombstone if we are lucky.

HBK - Jericho; I think having this match again at SS will be a waste of a potentially good fued. I think it'd be awesome if they mimicked the Taz Sabu fued in ECW, Jericho calling out Michaels for ages, then eventually it happens. I also think Jericho should be put as the head of a stable called 'The Saved'. It would bring a lot of guys like Paul Birchill, Lance Cade etc. into the fold moreso, like The Flock in WCW.

Matt Hardy - Mark Henry - Snore, putting the title on Hardy would be a good idea but who would he wrestle?

MVP - Jeff Hardy - Could be a good, if not cliched match.

It goes without saying that I am in no way holding my breath about SS.

Vince needs fucking shot putting Khali in any big matches. Seriously the worst main eventer I've ever witnessed. This is not 1986 (King Kong Bundy), 1992 (Sid), 1993 (Yokozuna, Giant Gonzales) and HHH sure as fuck ain't Hogan (arguably?).

Mind you, Vince is a mark for the big men. WWE is so stale right now, I'm almost ashamed to admit I'm a pro wrestling freak.

Kane's had some shocking storylines....

Yokozuna was a great main event heel, his Undertaker fued was classic, plus i fondly remember his title match with Bret Hart. maybe because i was so young he seemed a threat!

HHH can hold a match much more than Hogan, Hogan's heavily over rated.

Since the draft WWE has got a lot better, it really needs a big star however such as Austin or The Rock to push it back to a boom period.
